Ah, it’s nearly time for the 2011 Kentucky Derby. Referred to as the “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports,” it signals the beginning of the horse racing season for me because this is really when I get interested in it every spring. Unfortunately, I have to work most Saturdays, and May 7th will be no different, when the Derby takes place. So, I found out a good way to watch the Kentucky Derby and other horse races online live. Here’s what I discovered:
Click Here to Watch the Kentucky Derby Online
Basically, I stumbled upon this website that allowed me to download a software to my computer that will connects me to 1,000s of online channels. I mainly use it to watch sports like, football, basketball, baseball, and soccer, but it also offers a good selections of channels that air live streaming horse races. And, the Kentucky Derby is really a worldwide event, so it will be available a good number of online channels.
Anyway, I downloaded the software, and within 5 minutes or so, I had access to all of these online channels that I had no idea even existed. It’s really like having satellite TV on your computer. It will work with any version of windows or even Mac computers, so you don’t have to have some fancy PC or something. But, you will need high-speed internet of some sort, like DSL, cable, or Wi-Fi (yes, it works on laptops/notebooks too). Don’t even try it with dial-up because you won’t get a high quality video picture.
The Kentucky Derby is such a historic event, and it only occurs once a year. I mean, how many sporting events have a 136-year history? Not many. So, there is no way I would even consider missing the race live just because of work. So, if you need to watch it online then I hope this post helps you out.
